DAY NUMBER EIGHT of TEN: Have it All by Sea Monster

EHEM, let’s try this again.

Once more, i have to apologise for the raw nature of this audio file. Recorded once again by mister James Jackson in our rehearsal space as well as his bedroom, this song has not been mastered so the level is quite low. But props to Jimmy for doing a bang-up job on this demo.

Sea Monster came to be seven or eight months after the last show for Lorna Slavin. In fact all of the members who came to play in Sea Monster (except for greg) all played in lorna at some time. Funnily enough though i feel like the songs were still considerably different from lorna slavin.

Looking back now i guess the life span of that band was quite fleeting, and this is entirely on my shoulders. We came to a halt once again due to problems i had with my hip. I feel given some momentum we could have done something really worthwhile. We only played two shows and recorded 4 songs in our jam room before i opted out. This song is one of them.

The band was quite short lived, and i suppose that’s why i don’t have that much to say about it. Nevertheless, i really like this song and still listen to it often, despite our/my questionable playing on this recording.

The time i had playing with these guys was a total blast though, a total party whenever we got together, and at the time i would have never wanted to quit if i’d had the choice. Those guys are so much fun, and practice was almost always more laughter than music being played.
