Here’s a segment for my ‘On Tour’ cabinets featured on American television. This is both fantastic and hilarious. Enjoy.
Got some new cabinets made this week. Did a photo shoot yesterday.
First of all thanks for watching, and to my new followers, i’ll try and make this worth your while.
TOWARDS THE end of 2009 I penned a series of posts celebrating a decade of musical journeys to date. Over ten days I posted a song each day chronicling most of the bands I’ve played in NO MATTER HOW EMBARRASSING time and tastes may have made them seem. Unbeknown to me at the time, years later this would spawn a very small trend of people I know who are in the same boat, most notably Michael Job and Luke Smith, fellow stalwarts of the Brisbane music scene, to talk about their own cumulative experiences playing music. Check ‘em out.
NOW, 2 YEARS ON I plan to continue this series with an update as I have been very busy in the meantime and have had a part in loads of material. Look out for the new tracks over the coming days to see what I’ve been up to. But for now, for those of you who are new to my forum, I’ve provided a recap of those old posts below so you can see where I’ve come from and get up to speed. Thanks for listening!!

Last night I finished 2 poster options for the upcoming Pecha Kucha event at the Brisbane Powerhouse next Wednesday. One option was risky and the other, a little more radio friendly. You can probably guess which one I preferred.
I’m speaking at this event, so if you’re into a bit of creative wank, come along and have a beer with me while I talk at you.
Bizoo Retrospective and Zine Fair
Saturday 8th October 2011 | 4ZZZ car park | FreeLike VCR tapes were to pornos, zines were once a bountiful and ubiquitous source of indie art, music and culture that was bubbling away under the surface of western cities around the world. With the creation and implementation of a complex network of tubes known as the “Inter-net”, zines began to see their apathetic and disinterested audience move away from print-based mediums to become an apathetic and disinterested audience on the web.
Bizoo was one such zine which helped define Brisbane’s indie art and music scene before its mysterious and untimely end. Now a book has been written about the Bizoo years and 4ZZZ wants to celebrate by holding a celebration cum zine fair in their lovely car park on St Paul’s Terrace.
There’ll be a bunch of local writers, zine makers, comic designers and indie creators at the fair, as well as DIY workshops and hands on activities to coincide with the festivities. Best of all, there’s going to be a bunch of bands on from 3pm - 6pm.
Zine Fair & Workshops from 10:30am – 2:30pm

Also props to Sam McKenzie for this rad cover art. Check out his interview on design montage here. He’s a talented dude.

We’re playing this Saturday night at Fat Louies. Come along and say hi, all the bands are pretty different so it should be an interesting night. Also it’s the first show we’ve played since releasing this. Poster by yours truly.
